MISSING: Fan Bingbing
This article is about world famous, Chinese actress Fan
Bingbing. She inexplicably went missing in July after alleged illegal
activities of hers were blasted in the Chinese Media. Fan Bingbing was accused
of taking part in what is referred to as Yin-Yang Contracts. This is the action
of reporting a signed contracted to the government for a lower income,
reporting this contract winnings to the government, then signing another,
secret contract for more money. Yin-Yang Contracts are for the purpose of
avoiding taxes. The reported contract by Fan was for $1.6 million, while the
exposed contract was for $7.8 million. It is unknown where Fan Bingbing is but
many have speculated that she is either imprisoned in an unknown location or on
house arrest as punishment from the Chinese government. Her not-so-subtle
disappearance is really drawing attention on a worldwide scale, but ultimately
her fate probably lies in the hands of the leaders of China.
